Talk to Polaris

Ask out loud what your Sessions are doing, hear any message in full, find earlier work, and tell a Session what to do next.

Talk to Polaris is a voice call with your Sessions, made for checking on work when you’re away from the keyboard. It’s in beta and turned on per person: if you don’t see Talk to Polaris in the composer, it isn’t on for your account yet.

Start a call

Select Talk to Polaris beside Dictate in the composer and allow the microphone. Talk as you would to a colleague, and interrupt it whenever you like. Select End call when you’re done. If the call drops, it reconnects and carries on where you left off.

What you can ask

  • What a Session is doing, what it said last, or what needs you.
  • Anything from earlier in a Session or its subagents: a whole message, a decision, or what a command did.
  • To find something across your Sessions.
  • To send a Session a message. It sends your own words, without asking you to confirm, when one Session clearly matches, and asks which one when several could.
  • To open a Session on your screen.

“This Session” means the one on your screen. Polaris reads only Sessions you can open.

Each thing it does appears in the call panel beside what was said, such as Read Docs refresh, Searched 4 Sessions or Sent to Fix login · Queued.

Limits

  • It looks at up to 300 of your Sessions: those that need you first, then the most recently active, and always the one on your screen.
  • In a very long Session, it reads the most recent part of the history.
  • It can’t yet answer an agent’s questions or approvals, or stop or start a Session. Do those in the Session.

What Polaris keeps

While voice is in beta, Polaris keeps each call’s transcript and what it did for 30 days, to improve voice. A call is deleted sooner when a Session it looked at, or its Organization, is deleted.
